A Windy Regatta

The Elvstrom/Zellerbach regatta brought out the best in our fleet.
No, I don't mean just some of the best sailors, though they were there.  I mean, an example of a great fleet.

With the winds forecast to be in the mid twenties for Saturday, our fleet chose to sit out the first day of racing and retire to enjoy brunch in the spectacular St. Francis bar or catch family time or an afternoon nap.  This left no one broken, discouraged or overwhelmed.
Sometimes the very best decision is not to race and come back another day.

Comeback we did - On Sunday with strong but exciting winds at a more modest 20 knots.  Everyone rallied and had a terrific regatta.

Love this fleet!
