Last Man Standing

Ben Brown leads out the last race on Saturday

It was a game of attrition and San Francisco Yacht club's multihull event this past weekend saw our youngest gun, Ben Brown, come out as the only boat to finish all six races.  The event started with nine entrants.  We lost our first to car trouble, our second to a business and life demands, the third to good judgement ( when faced with tough conditions sometimes caution is smart ), the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh to well … mid twenties at the top mark and finally the eighth to not noting the course.  That left Ben to claw his way to a finish in the third race as it's only finisher and top of the leader board for Saturday.

Sunday saw ideal conditions and a return to normal races, albeit with only five boats on the line.

In the end, Charles Froeb and Jim Johnston took all of Sunday's races and left Ben to a tie breaker with Alex which was decided in Alex's favor after throw outs.

Still … Ben gets the Last Man Standing Award for the weekend.

Here are the final results
