The 2nd annual Westpoint Regatta was again, a big hit; Long distance racing at its best in the Bay.  The course was from Treasure Island, up to Angel Island, off around Alcatraz and all the way down to Redwood City. The race began with winds in the mid to high teens which then dropped down into single digits as the fleet outpaced the wind. This condition creates a building downwind race that always promises to compress the fleet and keep the racing exciting to the end.

The F18 fleet led the 60 or so monohulls down the course, all finishing well in front.  First dibs at the bar!

Thanks to the many sponsors and Sequoia Yacht Club for some serious partying afterward.
