Sail-a-Small-Boat Day @ RYC on Sat., 3/5

Every year right before the sailing season Richmond YC does this great thing where they pick a Saturday and get representatives from local small boat fleets to show up with a boat and give people rides.  It's a good fleet-building opportunity and works wonders for the visibility of the class.  The event is open to the public, and no experience is necessary (although lots of sailors show up to try out different boats).  This year's Sail-a-Small-Boat Day is coming up fast, on March 5.  Phillip and Bill will be there with Highwire (Phillip's Wild Cat).

If you've been curious to try out an F18 this is a great chance, especially if you don't get down to the South Bay very often.

  • Date:  Saturday, March 5
  • When:  10:30 - 3:30
  • Where:  Richmond YC (here's a map)
  • Details:  See RYC's event page for more info.  There should be gear available (trapeze harness, etc.), but if you have a wetsuit and/or life jacket bring them.  Also bring a set of dry clothes and a towel in case you get wet.

Spread the word if you know anyone else who might be interested.
